Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) is an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention that was founded in 1888. It is the largest Protestant missions organization for women in the world. We meet the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the classroom next to the church library.
WMU meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Educational Building. We meet to discuss missions and how we may best serve in our community. It is a wonderful opportunity to share the needs of others and to look for ways we may assist them in meeting those needs.
The mission field is an important part of our spiritual walk. Not sure what it is all about? Simply attend one of our meetings or talk with one of our WMU ladies to learn more.
The tasks of the WMU are:
- Pray for and give to missions
- Do missions
- Learn about missions
- Develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle
- Participate in the work of the church and the denomination
We would love to have you join us for our next meeting. For more information on WMU, please see Belinda Dunn
